Barichara – Guane tour
Barichara has been called Colombia's most beautiful town, and one walk is enough to see why. Cobblestone streets, whitewashed rammed-earth houses with clay-tile roofs, artisan workshops and viewpoints overlooking the Suárez River canyon: everything seems frozen in time.
Then you head down to Guane, a small, quiet village with an indigenous soul, where a museum keeps fossils and the history of the Guane people. Between the two runs the Lengerke royal road, an ancient stone path full of history. A day of colonial architecture, tradition, scenery and unique flavors, like the famous big-bottomed ants and sabajón.
Included
Guane museum, Salto del Mico viewpoint, paper house, Santa Bárbara chapel, Lengerke trail, main square and crafts. Typical lunch, roasted ants, sabajón liqueur and museum entrance.
What to bring
Comfortable clothes, sneakers, sunscreen, cap and sunglasses.
All Casona tours include round-trip transport from the hostel, insurance, guide, water and free photos and videos.
